Here's what we were working with - a bare, graded backyard that needed to be built back up from scratch. Before any sod goes down, the ground has to be properly prepped and leveled. Skip that step and you end up with an uneven lawn that holds water in the wrong places. We rolled and graded the soil to make sure everything was set up correctly before the St. Augustine went in.

The sprinkler system got attention too. We didn't just plug in new heads and call it a day - we fine-tuned the coverage and added new pop-ups to make sure every part of the lawn gets watered evenly. A fresh lawn with bad irrigation coverage is a lawn that won't last. Getting the water distribution right from the start is what keeps grass healthy long-term.

On the side of the yard, we built out a dedicated garden bed area using metal raised beds set over gravel with stepping stone paths between them. Each bed was hooked up to drip irrigation on a timer. That means consistent, targeted watering right at the root zone - no guesswork, no dragging hoses around, no forgetting to water on a hot day.

The end result is a backyard that works on multiple levels. The lawn is clean and open for kids and family use, and the garden area is fully functional and low-maintenance from day one. That's what good landscaping is supposed to do - look good and actually work the way it should.

Whether you're starting from bare dirt or just want to stop fighting a yard that isn't performing, this is the kind of full-scope work we do. Lawn prep and installation, irrigation solutions, custom garden bed builds - we handle it all under one roof so nothing gets missed.
